Alumna Receives 2019 Outstanding Communication Alumni Award

Julie Idoine-Fries, FACHE is the CEO of Select Specialty Hospital-Cleveland Fairhill, a critical illness recovery hospital. Prior to her tenure with Select, Julie developed the Geriatric Service Line at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas and was the Administrator for Transitional and Supportive Care Services at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.


Julie received her Masters in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, 2011 and Bachelor of Arts in Communication with Honors from the University of Cincinnati, 2008.


Throughout her educational and professional careers Julie has focused on the impact of our verbal and non-verbal communication can have on one another. She is committed to work that creates an empathetic and compassionate experience for people receiving health care services.


Julie lives in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband, Tyler and dog, Navin. She is proud to serve people in the Northeast Ohio region where she was born and raised.


UC Friends of Communication would like to congratulate Julie on all of her hard work and dedication to the service of others.
